Sony has reach its 2006 goal of shipping 2 million PlayStation 3s worldwide. Sony accroding to a statement they had shipped around 1million PS3 in Japan, while in CES 2007 they have declared the same amount had been shipped in North America in 2006.

 Even with the fact that Sony had a very late start nearly a year and a half, along with the anti-PS3 partisans, yet PS3 has been received really well.
