Motorola Inc. and sports-car maker Ferrari SpA unveiled a new Motorazr phone Friday that can play music, surf and download content from the Internet at a high speed.
The Motorazr maxx V6 Ferrari Challenge phone features an engraved logo of the carmaker’s prancing horse and a reproduction of the Formula 1 F430 car’s eight-cylinder engine. The sound of a Ferrari engine rumbling can be heard when the device is switched on or off.
The handset will be available worldwide from Monday at a price of $632 from Motorola distributors, Ferrari stores and on the Web. The device is enabled with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access, or HSDPA, technology that allows for faster data transfer speeds.
