Philips Xenium 9@9, goes on, on and on

Philips Xenium 9@9, goes on, on and on

Have you ever forgot to charge your cell or talked with a friend till your cell's battery died out? This are quite the situations that occur to me on daily basis.

Philips has a solution. The Xenium 9@9 series from Philips puts your cell on a standby of 40days! yes 40days.

There are 3 Xenium phones currently offered by Philips on its Hong-Kong site:

Philips Xenium 9@9 (one on the left) is the entry level of the three models, but this is the one that has the longest battery life, with talk time of 10hrs and standby of 40days you won't go mad at your phone this time. But their's nothing excitng except for the battery life, a basic phone that will work on any GSM 900/1800 networks, SMS, EMS, MMS and WAP. It has a 65K color 128×12 px, 1.5″ OLED display, 2MB of internal memory with a phonebook storage of 1000 entries plus support for polyphonic ringtones. It measures at 99,7 x 43,5 x 19,2 mm and weights 86 g.

Philips Xenium 9@9d (in the center) a much advance phone then the previous had to sacrifice on battery life for additional features. But it still jacks up 8.5 hrs of talk time and with a standby of 1 month. It has all the featuers of the Philips Xenium 9@9a, with addition to a 65K 128×160 screen,1.3 megapixel camera, JAVA 2.0 support, USB 1.1, Bluetooth and IrDA connectivity, also 18Mb of memory. It measures at 108 x 45 x 18.5 mm and weights a healthy 96 gm.

Philips Xenium 9@9t (one on the right) is just another smartphone. With the same staggering battery life(850 hrs of standby and 8.5 hrs of talk time) the Xenium 9@9 t sports a 128×160 65K Touchscreen, Handwriting recognition, stylus, mp3 player and MiniSD memory expansion slot, but this is definitely no go territory for wireless buffs. No Bluetoooth and IrDA here.

We might have dump Phillips out of the cellphone business a long time back, but now they are back with a bang.
