Nvidia's MCP72 is next generation single chip socket AM2 is here. This is the first time that nvidia has HyperTransport 3.0 (HT3) feature in this.

MCP72 support's AMD's AM2 socket & HT3 enabled AM2+ socket, where AM2+ will be used for upcoming Athlon 64 Agena & Optron Budapest quad core processors.

MCP72 will be nvidia's first PCIe 2.0 equipped chipset, which makes it ready for the next generation PCIe peripherals& graphic cards. It also has support for six SATA 3.0Gbps & dual gigabit ethernet ports.

The good thing is that it consumes less power. So lets hope it break some benchmark records with its next generation features.

HT 3.0 is not hyperthreading it is hypertransport. Get your facts straight. http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/DownloadableAssets/MPF_Hammer_Presentation.PDF
