Super Talent recently completed the construction of its first DDR3 prototype modules and will be the first to be released in market for commercial modules. Super Talent is devoting engineers and time to defining and finalizing the DDR3 specifications.
DDR3 is set to be the next PC memory standard and the successor to DDR2 memory. The power consumption has been decreased to 1.5 Volts, while clock speeds have gone up. The DDR3 frequencies range from 800 MHz to 1600 MHz which is really awesome when compared to its predecessor.

The 1stmotherboards supporting DDR3 are expected to appear once Intel’s Bearlake-family of desktop chipsets launches. The new Intel desktop chipsets will support both DDR2 as well as DDR3 memory.
But the drawback is that both DDR2 and DDR3 cant be used at the same time.  Intel has already begun sampling its DDR3 memory motherboards, though confirmed ship dates for the boards are still flexible. AMD is expected to adopt DDR3 with the release of its quad-core architecture.
The shipping of  Super talents DDR3 modules will start before the motherboards are actually released.
Its expected to start shipping in July 07, well keep you informed as soon as we get more information
