AMD Unleashes 690G and 690V Chipsets

AMD has launched 690G & 690V chipsets with AMD 690G which integrates ATI Radeon X1250 graphics & AMD 690V which integrates ATI Radeon X1200 graphics respectively. And the companies like Asus, MSI, ECS, Biostar & Albatron are few who have show cased the motherboards with these chipsets. With the two new chipsets you can expect a performance boost in the games (compared to other onboard graphics used previously), infact they are better than nVidia & Intel chipset boards.

These chipsets were put to test using 3DMark05 & they scored between 1000-1200 which is pretty good score. As far as a gamer can expect average fps in games with out anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, users can expect 30-35 fps in HL2 and 35-40 fps in Far Cry, according to AMD.
