Apple TV Delayed

Bad news for those who ordered Apple TV or to those who planned to buy it. Apple informed to its customers that it would delay the shipping of Apple TV to mid-march, which should have been shipped by Feb. Customers are still confused about the reason to this delay, but Apple said that the fianl production of the product taking few weeks longer than expected.

Priced at $299 USD Apple TV looks pretty good choice to own it as digital entertainment system in the living room. It was first introduced at Macworld & it was like the product is ready to ship, anyway lets hope it changes the way we enjoy the digital entertainment.

Sony To Introduce Cheaper Blu ray Disc Player

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player becomes $400 dearer. Sony revealed its plans to release cheaper Blu-ray disc player by summer, which was priced at a whooping $999 before, where as now you can get it for $599. To give its competitor (Toshiba) a tough competition Sony planned to release BDP-S300 it not only has all the functionality of the BDP-S1 but also added ability to play CDs.

The new BDP-S300 Blu-ray Disc Player will be smaller & compact as a size of DVD player. Though with this new cheaper version of Blu-ray Sony still has to battle Toshiba’s HD-DVD, as Toshiba’s HD-DVD player (Toshiba HD-A1) cost around $399 to $499.
