
AMD told its plan to release Xbox 360 graphics quality technology for the handhelds. AMD has also introduced some tools for the content providers to start the application development for handheld devices based on OpenVG 1.0 and OpenGL ES 2.0 industry standards.
With this new technology you can expect a great visual display as you see in Xbox 360, which has AMD’s patented Unified Shader Architecture that is used in Xbox 360’s ATI chip. AMD has introduced a tool called RenderMonkey which is a shader development tool to help developers create visually compelling characters and environments. In addition of tools AMD will also make available emulation environments and development kits to help developers test their applications.
