PlayStation 3 to get 1.60 firmware with new browsing options including background downloading. At present the users have to wait until the download completes (which is not-resumable), it is difficult watching at the boring download bar for huge size games say more than 600+ MB. With the new background downloading feature users can start download & can play game or can do any work they can without disrupting the download.

The new firmware also features zoom & resolutions settings for better surfing and a screen size keyboard for easy test entry. And users can expect the new firmware 1.60 in March 22nd which is also the date for European launch of PS3.
