Hey stuck with Playstatio3, no good games to play! Same situation here! So why not use massive computational power for something important and good for humanity.

Sony announced that PS3 owners will be able to give a hand in disturbed scientific experiment led by Stanford University’s Folding@home program which is trying to seek into processes of protein folding and its relationships with several diseases like cancer, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
According to Sony, Folding@Home key focus is knowing how does two-dimensional protein strands found in human body folds into three-dimensional molecules that makes changes in the biological functions and why does incorrect folding leads to debilitating diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. The study of the folding process is a highly complex task that requires massive amounts of computational power. This is where PS3’s massive processing power can be put to good use, ps3 owners can contribute to Folding@home just as PC users are assisting in the SETI@Home project.
From 23rd March(thats the European PS3 launch date) PS3 users can start lending there machines via the PS3’s ‘XrossMediaBar’, the console’s interactive menu system. After the participants have connected to the project, Folding@home will tap into the devices unused processing power. Guess what you will be able to checkout the simulations in realtime as well as interact with the. protein strands in different angles.
