
Samsung can’t stop doing things brand new. Samsung just announced that they have made a new 1.8-inch SSD that boost a staggering capacity of 64GB thats double the amount of their current SLC NAND-based 32GB SSD. They also said that the read and write performance of the new SLC flash-SSD has increased by 20% and 60% respectively. Looks like this flash-SSD might soon replace hard drives as they as accessible instantly far more secure, consumes less power besides that are noiseless. Samsung plans to start mass production of the 1.8″-type 64GB flash-SSD by Q2 this year. Now lets see whats Sandisk and Toshiba have something in their bags.
