Fellow nerds and Xbox fanboys, the moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived. Microsoft makes Xbox 360 Elite official, its nice to here from Redmond straight making it clear. Xbox 360 Elite is the black version of the existing gaming console with some interesting features like an HDMI port, a 120GB hard drive, a cool looking black wireless Xbox 360 controller and a black Xbox live headset.

Microsoft also announced that an HDMI cable will be bundled with the package. As we did thought that Elite will be a limited edition, it isn’t Microsoft says that there would be plenty of them on its April 29 launch date. Xbox 360 Elite is priced at a little high $479.99. I ‘d think its a little too high, why would you throw out another $179.99 for a black spraypaint job? You ain’t getting anything expect a 120GB Hard drive and HDMI, no sign of those often rumored 65nm processors. Thou i’m kinda happy but still can’t figure out whats so great about this Xbox 360 Elite, hold on dudes before you purchase this console wait for sometime and see if hackers manages to get that 120GB cheap hardrives like they did to that 20GB harddive.

Microsoft also announces that the 120GB drive will also be available for existing Xbox 360 owners from April 29th. But you have to burn some cash for that, $179.99 to be exact. Also you be able to buy various black accessories,which includes a black wireless controller as well as a rechargeable battery pack and Play and Charge kit.

Now buying is the matter of choice for those have already own an Xbox 360, i think their is no need of buying the Elite, but if you want that HDMI interface, we can’t resist you. I would have recommend it personally if it had new processors and new GPU, but can’t understand selling out nearly 500$ for just a few minor changes which say 80% users won’t use. All in all we regret to say Xbox 360 Elite is just another Xbox 360 Premium console.
