From Cnet, Cingular [AT&T Wireless] have “confirmed” that Apple’s next big thing the “iPhone” will release on June 11. Its was kinda unofficial as it was from the mouth of front-line sales support person. But after Cnet called to Cingular’s customer service, the call was transferred to sales where they were greeted by the much awaited date of the year. But don’t get surprise its the same date that marks the opening day of the Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference where Steve and Co are expected to show up more on the next gen OS “Leopard”. There have been few speculations on the release date as one blog pointed to a release date of June 15 based on few docs filed with FCC. But still we won’t take anything for granted.

Usually everyone wonder about how gaming on vista will be. Will it better when compared to XP or bad. So here are some tests that were conducted with the following pc configuration:-

The tests were tested on Vista Ultimate edition build 6000 with Nvidia drivers 100.65 and on Windows XP professional 91.47. A few games like Half life 2 Ep1, GRAW, Oblivion , etc were tested.

Looks like the old gigabyte era is drowing pretty fast and a new era of terabytes is fast approaching.
In the beginning of this year Seagate had confirmed that it would ship a 1TB hard drive before the 2nd half of this year. Seagate would not confirm or deny the expectation of a new 7200.11 series this morning. But Seagate representatives responded to the inquiries by stressing that they had already stated earlier this year that we would have the 1TB drive before the second half of this year.

Heres the first official GTAIV trailer released by rockstar few hours back. It looks like they have improved a lot on those cartoojn kind of graphics after their previous game releases. The game is scheduled to release in October.

Finally Microsoft releases the much awaited 1.3 version of Zune’s firmware. Zune was release last November to take one Apple iPod. But instead it got stuck with some crazy shits like skipping , reliability, syncing and that very annoying FM tuner draing battery while in sleep mode.
 According to Zune Insider, the new firmware thankfully removes that skipping problem with the downloaded music from Zune Marketpalce. Also it makes the Zune more reliable while syncing/detection and everyone would welcome the changes made to the FM tuner functions to correct that battery draining problem while in sleep mode.

The last update to the Boot Camp before Leopard is released is the v1.2 of OS X’s dual booting software which is able to give Vista support. For people who haven’t updated to Vista yet there are several other features to be noted of:-
Better trackpad, audio, iSight, graphics, and modem drivers, theres also the Apple Remote support in iTunes which is really cool and a WMPSystem tray icon for Boot Camp info. Don’t forget their’s even Foreign language support for the Apple Software Update as well.
