Wow! Apple TV, thanks to a couple of hacks got two new capabilities: to start with you get to play with a fully functional RSS reader besides this emulation for NES, SNES, N64, and Sega Genesis game consoles. Courtesy of bloggers at twenty08, they managed to fit in a plugin that lets you view RSS1.x/2.x feeds alongside your Apple TV medias and photos. But the video game emulation thingy isn’t that clear, folks at AwkwardTV are saying that many popular emulators from Richard Bannister worked pretty good on the Apple TV OS. Checkout the cool video after the jump showing Apple TV can really play out well. Fellows also their’s a a $1000 cash bounty for anyone who could hack the Apple TV to enable external drive support through the USB port. Anyone’s interested. But why wouldn’t you mind taking a risk if Apple themself are telling to hack it as long as the warranty sticks up.
