A dual gift from Yahoo! India to Indians, they have launched new Beta service called ‘Yahoo! Our City’ & ‘Yahoo! Maps’ for India. With Yahoo Our City users can now explore 19 cities of India and get the information of the locations, hotels, weather, events, news, etc. few of the cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata. Soon other cities will also be included.
Coming to Yahoo Maps the user can view the city, town or village at street level with the either of Satellite View, Street View or Hybrid View. Though you can’t zoom as much as you can using Google Earth, but fair enough to see the route. Users can search over 170 cities, 4,785 towns and 220,000 villages across india and the street, city & district names can be viewed.
