AMD finally announced its 2000 series of DX10 cards, after delaying almost half a year. AMD planned to roll out ATI Radeon 2900XT with a great price tag of $399 which includes some goodies like Team Fortress Two, Portal & the most awaited Half Life 2: Episode 2 which equals the Black Box pack that is to be offered (worth $40).
Soon to follow are the ATI Radeon HD 2600 & ATI Radeon HD 2400 series, which are considered as budget cards will be released in June with price tag yet to be announced. Though 2900XT beats almost 8800GTS, its still no match for 8800GTX, so the price justifies 2900’s performance.
Here are few features of ATI Radeon HD 2900XT
512-bit GDDR3/4 memory interface (gives a stunning memory bandwidth of 106GBps)
320 stream processing units (which takes core speed to 740Mhz)
