Sapphire with its Silent HD 2600 XT
Sapphire Technology recently announced its silent HD 2600 XT Ultimate Edition graphics card. It has a passive cooling solution with dual heat-pipes which route around the backside of the graphics card to multiple fins in a radiator-style layout, leaving front-adjacent expansion slots open for use.
The GPU is clocked at 800 MHz, similar to actively cooled models. Sapphire pairs the 800 MHz GPU with 1.4 GHz GDDR3 memory. The card comes in two memory sizes, 256MB and 512MB with a 128-bit memory interface.
The HD 2600 XT Ultimate Edition comes with dual dual-link DVI-I outputs and video input and output capabilities. This card will output HDMI multichannel audio and high definition video. The card will be available only after July this year.
