Walt Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, the third film in the pirate franchise, earned $58 million at worldwide box offices in limited showings before its wider record-breaking release on Friday. The film earned $17 million in U.S. cinemas on Thursday night. Wednesday and Thursday night showings earned upto a total of $41.1 million. Looks like Pirates is all set to beat spiderman3’s record.

The film was released in 102 countries. Shrek:the third has earned a profit of $122million in the first week afer release.
