Themes are also included with some of the above flash menus. The preview of the menus is also included in the above, so that you dont have to copy and check. You can check the preview and then decide your favourites. The .swf files are to be uploaded with FAR and then later .thm files should be uploaded to cell in phone memory/themes only! If you upload in memory stick they wont work.
How to flash:-
Make sure that you every required file, then start with the following steps:-
A] Install USB Flash drivers from here
B]Install FAR-manager 1.70 which can be downloaded from here
C] Extract SEFP plugins, first you should extract SEFP v010044 and then SEFP v010051 over it to the following directory C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins
D]Extract db2010cid49_4_alpha.rar.zip (den_po’s CID49 pack) to FAR\plugins
E]Install XS++ and a get a proper MAIN firmware which is suited by your phone model
F]Now you need to remove your SIM-card and memory stick, now start XS++, connect your phone by holding C, then just flash your MAIN with w810_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw(for W810i only!!). It’s just a break in loader which enables you to enter the phone without brute forcing. It’s only 5 flash blocks, should not take more than 20secs, so if it hangs more than 30 seconds then simply stop the process and disconnect your cell. NOTE:- Your cell won’t start after flashing this file!
It should look something like this…
G]Now start FARmanager, and press F11
Choose SEFP plugin,
If you get the error: “Unknown exception”, Exception address: 0×7C812A5B…… The plugin will be Unloaded!
1) This is a bug. It’s because you don’t have any COM-ports, so create a fake COM-port connection. I did it with my BT Dongle.
2) If you get the error: “
3) If you still get any errors, and just want a working phone back, skip this part and just disconnect the phone and then flash your main firmware. You’ll have a working phone back.
H] Now all you need to do is choose Bootscript: w300_w810_z550_cid49 and press Enter The Matrix.
I] After some time you should be in the file system of the phone, if not, try again, check settings above (1, 2, and 3) and make sure you have chosen the right settings.
J] Now choose FS (this is the place where you customize all the stuff like icons, menus, sound, cam driver, etc).
For custom menus go here: /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
For audio drivers: ifs/settings/acoustic/
For replacing camdriver: /ifs/settings/camera/camdriver0.dat
For adding new photo frames: tpa/preset/system/multimedia/pe/
NOTE: Remember the file name of the flash menus that you have uploaded, because later you need to make themes based on them!(you can just take a screenshot of the FAR manager like i have taken below, just in case its difficult to remember)
K] When you finish with this, Just go back to root (press ‘..’ all the time) until FAR asks to “EXIT CSFS loaderâ€, choose “YESâ€.
L] Then just exit FAR-manager. Disconnect cable and remove your battery for 5secs.
Now for getting your phone working again….
M] Start XS++ and connect your cell. Now only flash your real MAIN file (i.e. W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn, you can find it in here, 344 flash blocks).
[{Don't check Customize File System!}] This will only take about 2 minutes!
That’s it you are now done with flashing, now you can simply start the phone by just adding back the SIM, mem card and then battery.
Now adding themes into your cell….
So far you have entered the phone memory and added just swf files (menus) but you dint add theme files. For adding theme files and making theme files with the custom menus downlaod the following notepad tutorial HERE.
That’s it for now… For any doubts or clarifications post them in comments.

Just shutdown ur phone, remv memory card, sim, etc….
Make sure u have extracted the USB drivers to a particular folder.
Then first time when u connect holdin “C” it will request for installin drivers .. just browse them and select it…
It will install fine…

Oh.. that means your phone is Brown.
Currently only Red phones are supported…

hey…ive done it..i just use the sfx in the xs++ to upload the .swf files to the appropriate directory.. and i gt it..its beautiful..thanks a lot.by the way, developer should put more effort in inventing new flash menu like walkman dance and active black..walk woman and desktopgroup were also great. but they were slow..

7 to 10 seconds only..its real fast… in a minute i can get 12 new flash themes.. BTW.. i found many .swf files but there were no .thm files for it… what should i do to get it? anyway, i hope you can upload the BASTI theme.

Acoustics are sound drivers for the cell…
They include drivers for ringing volume, ear phone/headphone vol, external speaker volume, call volume,ringin volume, etc…
I have added new cam and audio drivers, will add more when theres time..
you need to replace the files in the following directory of your phone
ifs/settings/acoustic/
You need to follow the same procedure …i.e using FAR+ XS++ then access the directory and replace audio drivers.
NOTE: Dont forget to backup your previous files before deleting them.

As far as the pics are concerned… its etirely ur taste… But i feel overall the default cam driver is good…
But there are drivers like Super cam dirver 8.4, sarmad , etc which give excellent closeup images… but not normal images….

Therez just 1 problem though. See all the new flash files you’ve uploaded? It has this weird stopwatch as one of the menus which when actually clicked on is supposed to open a sports menu or something like that. Now since that isn’t available on a w810i, it just does nothing. Now that should be actually replaced by the radio. Is there any way to do that? How?

Extract the USB drivers to a specific location….
Now start XS++ then remove sim, MC, switch off cell, then connect cell holding the ‘C’ button. It will automatically detect n ask for drivers..browse the extracted USB drivers then install them….

thanx.. ive uploaded the sound driver..its louder than b4.. then ive tried the kriomag.. its brilliant.. the macro mode is my main usage of the phone..this will help me much.. btw, will it harm my lens? coz sometmes i heard scratching when i capture a photo. n btween toshara 1.6/1.4/qwerty acoustic, which will u preferred? n also the camdriver.. i need u to make the choice.. coz you are an EXPERT in this.. thnks a lot..

W710i supports flash menus….
But sadly you can’t use the w810 acoustics as w710i has different type of acoustics>> .zapf. BUt the w850,w880 acoustics wil work on a W710i.
BTW you cant use the FAR method in the above tutorial for a W710i as its a CID52 phone…
THese kinda phone are currently not supported by XS++
u can try this method of hackin tho…

like sandmanbeta, it just says finishing flash. it never says done flashing. should i disconnect anyways? well i did and tried doing the Far thing, but after entering the matrix, it does not take me to the file system of the phone. it instead takes me right back to the main Far screen. i dont get any errors, but it just goes straight to the main screen. what am i doing wrong? please help! thanks.

Dont worry you can disconnect after all the flash blocks are done that is 5/5.
It will be done within 5 secs, if it gets stuck just stop the process and disconnect phone.

Okay, I did patch the file, but now I get an error. After entering the matrix, it get the following error:
Unable to open device: EPIUSB Check for EPIUSB.SYS driver installed.

Okay, sorry for the multiple posts, but the error message went away. Its doing the same thing it did before I patched it. After entering the matrix, it takes be right back to the main Far screen. It doesnt take me to the file system of the phone. Any ideas?

ok,so i downloaded winrar and it extracted fine…im having trouble connecting to xs though.i take out everything just as in the tutorial but it sais Error: cannot open the communication port. i read that sandmanbeta also had this problem but im not sure how he fixed it. any suggestions on what i should do? thanks

the problem was i didnt install the flash drive properly…now im stuck on flashblock 5/5 its been 5 minutes and i understand it suppose to take less than 20 seconds.and i dont want to damage the phone by stopping….what should my next step b?

how do i upload the files to my phone, the way i do it is just by draging and droping the files from my far dir to /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash. is this the correct method?
i dont thnk so cos the themes dont include the flash menu when i set them , but the theme still works, what am i doing wrong??

i finnaly did it!!!!!, all i needed to do was delete a file named “disable flash..” . after that flash now works , yessss!!!

First, Thanks Joel for the wonderful guide..
I was doing this whole procedure for my w810, and Did the first part with XS++, and then With Far Manager, Pressed F11, Checked the right settings, it detected my cellphone. And I get to the point where I can see FS and Flash folders on my cellphone, but if I try to get in any of them I get the following message:
can be used with Service Cable ONLY
Error code: 121
And can’t go any further, I’m using the DCU-60 cable and I’ve been able to Update my firmware via SEUS and also the XS++ part.
Is there anything I’m missing? Do I have to do something in particular?
Help will be appreciated, I know you are a Busy Man.. But Please help this guy out :)

hi can i just use xs++ to upload flash file in my phone, cus its all i want, btw can i just put all .swf files in files_to_upload\tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash\orbit clubpulse activeblack etc. so that i dont have to upload it 1 at a time to save time :) or its not possible and i have to put it 1 file at a time? :(

U can just place all files in the files to upload directory….
files_to_upload\tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash\
BTW the Far method is better as Phone XS uses bruteforcing…. which takes lot of time

@ anyone, for the camera and acoustic drivers do u just copy the extracted file containing the drivers. and if so do i need to delete (and make a copy of) the original drivers.

Hey.. After going to bed after 4am Last Night messing with all the Flash Menus, and themes.. (Found some of the themes have wrong .swf names in the xml file)..
I came back, and Noticed that on the Preview Pictures On top of this Page.. The Menu screen shot under the Walkman Dance Menu, (The Red One).. I didn’t see that Flash Menu, Can anyone tell me which Flash Menu is that? And What Theme uses it?

Back Sooner than thought… I tried the .thm wthout having the .swf in the cell just to see…
And noticed that the Main Screen Background is smaller.. So it’s not 176×220 :S… Anyone knows where I could get the highr resolution version of the Walman Beam ?

Yous should make themes compatible with the .swf files by targeting same names of swf files.

It’s me again.
Just to check, I haven’t been able to have the theme “Citybeat” to work properly, I mean I get the Flash Menu, but the Standby / Wallpaper animation doesn’t work.. I just get a Black Screen.. Also I was checking the XML file and Noticed it tries to use “standby.swf” as it’s background but I haven’t figured out a way to get it to work.. I copied that swf to the other Flash MEnu folder and stills is not working..
Anyone else has a workaround for it?

man i used the xs++v1.2 and it start as it supposed to do but after an hour or so my phone goes to file transfer mode, any idea? and btw on the first couple of line on the log file it says sumtin like “WARNING! IMEI name does not match GDFS name (IMEI:NULL GDFS:W810)” (but it contineous to brute force my phone)is this normal?
i also use the xs++v1.5 same procedure as in v1.2 but wen i start sfx it says “choose your way in” any idea also? thnx w8in for reply

i got into the system successfully once, but didn’t delete the “disable flash” file. so i want to get into the system again. i made it through until the folder FLASH and FS appeared. but when i tried to enter the FLASH folder, an error box appeared saying: unable to run flash_mode script. Error code: 0. any ideas??

hey i uploaded all the .swf files all working except for the iphone.swf, wen i go to menu and choose a task like messeges and clik on it, NOTHING happen only the FILE MANAGER works maybe its the only one working so that u can choose another theme lol, for the creator of this iphone.swf file F@!7 YOU!
btw im thinking about putting the acustic file, but does it really make a deference? im good at wat i have now, BUT I WANNA MAKE RINGTONES LOUD WITHOUT SACRIFICING THE SOUND QUALITY…

I’m pleased with them, Really High Volume, but unfortunately not for Speaker Mode (Conversation).. But now I Don’t have to set the volume to max on ringtones and also when Listening to the Radio or Mp3s… It’s very powerfull and so far no Bad Sound Quality.. If it sounds a little distorded it’s because the phone speakers are not that powerfull.. but just bring the volume down a bit and no problem…
As for Headphones it’s great for headphones… High Sound Quality and Very Powerful Output..

First, thank you for this awesome tutorial. I’m glad I found it! I was planning on upgrading the camera driver for my w810i but since you mentionned the default takes the best ‘casual pictures’, I think I will keep the default one. However, I’m interested in using the QWERTY acoustic driver to improve sound level and such.
I debranded my w810i using DaVinci client. I used R4EA031 GENERIC US with a customized file to disable camera shutter sound when in silent mode. Furthermore, I used the option to enable AMR on the phone (my carrier uses it well). My CDA is currently 123456/123 (I was told it’s normal even though GENERIC US is 102555/15 because I used a custom FS file).
My questions (finally ;) are:
1- Do I need to flash my phone with the BreakLoader to enter the phone FS with FARmanager? (my phone is already debranded)
2- If so, since it only seems the MAIN part is involved, I wouldn’t be losing all my settings and contacts right?
3- Does W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49 correspond to my current firmware (R4EA031 GENERIC US CDA102555/15)?

guys if u dont know what ur doin usin far i suggest use xs++ and be patience lol(cos it will take hours) its easy to put flash menus on ur phone using xs++ if ur a noob like me better use xs++ rather than far cos far can brick ur phone if u dont know wat ur doin.

you dont need to do triple post!
After disconectin carry on with the rest of the tutorial
the break in loader is already applied

I debrand my w810 with Davinci, try to put some flash menu with XS and FAR but my first experiment failled.
So I flashed my phone with FS++ and FAR to recover it and it worked. But now I try again to put some flash menu and
I keep blocked with FAR after flash with the loader (with XS++).

For the people asking about using mp3 ringtunes, go to the sony developer website and download the drm packager, then package your mp3s with it and they can be used no problem despite size.
As for me, i have just followed all the steps in this guide and the phone is working perfectly, however the new menu’s do not initialize. And i have made sure the themes are accomodating the new swf files…
Is this because i have a Rogers branded phone?

Even after flashing W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49 using XS++ and getting my phone corrupted, I tried to upgrade firmware using sony ericcson suite. It upgrades my phone but the problem remains.
Is there any way to recovering my phone? I can not do anything with it. Even its audio does not work.

So I’ve sucessfully flashed my phone I think…… I have the W300i.
But when I go to enter FS it just turns on the phone and locks up Far with the “Sending break_in ldr: cid49run: Sent 1 byte(s)”

Ok so now I’ve tried the flash again, and this time in Far I get something to load when I click FS. It says that it’s trying to use break in code henrixr2e, but it just sits at 1/ 3751 bytes and doesn’t move I left for eight hours plus and NOTHING. :(

I thought there was only one to use….
I did remove the battery for more than five seconds, and I did use the SEFP Patch.
My phone is db2010 cid 49 red, which is the correct break in loader? I used BOTH (at different times) w300_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw and the w810_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw, and both did not work.

how do I know which firmware is for my phone? my phone is through cingular/at&t I saw a firmware with “cingular” in the name would that be the one? so simple yet I am still so confused thanks for your prompt responses

OK I am frustrated now!I get all the way to the FAR part of the tutorial and yes I had to patch and I did but now I get the error, Script fs_mode execution error. Can someone please help me out with this? I read through all the post and unless I am just blind…there is not anything about this.

Hi,
I flashed several times the main fw and fs firmwares. But newly the screen shows a “please wait” dialog with a progress bar starts from l and after a while reaches to the a and waits for a long time.
The fw I flashed was W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49 .mbn and the fs was W810_R4ED001_FS_APAC_RED49.fbn I had choose this fw because XS++ log says something like this.

I tried XS++ with activated “Customize Filesystem” with various parameters (Brute, …) . And also do it without checking that option.
What may let me free from this state?

i bought a w810i. its software version is r4ce012.
i can run flash menu. however i would like 2 add more flash menu
but, b4 that i had a few questions
1.is my phone cid 49 or 51 or 52…..will xs++ and far manager work on my mobile.
2. do i need 2 flash both my FS and main or just main
3. do i hav 2 install my camara, sound system, n photo frame. if yes den which of the given drivers of sound n cara r the best.
4.how do i create a facke port-COMM.
