Tutorial: Adding new flash menus on SE walkman phones
Would you like to have one of these awesome menus on your cell? Well it’s really easy to do so. You can follow the following tutorial to do it:-
Phones supported: – W810i, W300 & Z550
NOTE: THIS TUTORIAL IS SUBJECT TO UPDATES, SO PLEASE KEEP CHECKING FOR NEWER VERSION OF FILES.

Themes are also included with some of the above flash menus. The preview of the menus is also included in the above, so that you dont have to copy and check. You can check the preview and then decide your favourites. The .swf files are to be uploaded with FAR and then later .thm files should be uploaded to cell in phone memory/themes only! If you upload in memory stick they wont work.
How to flash:-
Make sure that you every required file, then start with the following steps:-
A] Install USB Flash drivers from here
B]Install FAR-manager 1.70 which can be downloaded from here
C] Extract SEFP plugins, first you should extract SEFP v010044 and then SEFP v010051 over it to the following directory C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins
D]Extract db2010cid49_4_alpha.rar.zip (den_po’s CID49 pack) to FAR\plugins
E]Install XS++ and a get a proper MAIN firmware which is suited by your phone model
F]Now you need to remove your SIM-card and memory stick, now start XS++, connect your phone by holding C, then just flash your MAIN with w810_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw(for W810i only!!). It’s just a break in loader which enables you to enter the phone without brute forcing. It’s only 5 flash blocks, should not take more than 20secs, so if it hangs more than 30 seconds then simply stop the process and disconnect your cell. NOTE:- Your cell won’t start after flashing this file!
It should look something like this…
G]Now start FARmanager, and press F11
Choose SEFP plugin,
If you get the error: “Unknown exception”, Exception address: 0×7C812A5B…… The plugin will be Unloaded!
1) This is a bug. It’s because you don’t have any COM-ports, so create a fake COM-port connection. I did it with my BT Dongle.

3) If you still get any errors, and just want a working phone back, skip this part and just disconnect the phone and then flash your main firmware. You’ll have a working phone back.
H] Now all you need to do is choose Bootscript: w300_w810_z550_cid49 and press Enter The Matrix.
I] After some time you should be in the file system of the phone, if not, try again, check settings above (1, 2, and 3) and make sure you have chosen the right settings.
J] Now choose FS (this is the place where you customize all the stuff like icons, menus, sound, cam driver, etc).
For custom menus go here: /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
For audio drivers: ifs/settings/acoustic/
For replacing camdriver: /ifs/settings/camera/camdriver0.dat
For adding new photo frames: tpa/preset/system/multimedia/pe/
NOTE: Remember the file name of the flash menus that you have uploaded, because later you need to make themes based on them!(you can just take a screenshot of the FAR manager like i have taken below, just in case its difficult to remember)
K] When you finish with this, Just go back to root (press ‘..’ all the time) until FAR asks to “EXIT CSFS loaderâ€, choose “YESâ€.
L] Then just exit FAR-manager. Disconnect cable and remove your battery for 5secs.
Now for getting your phone working again….
M] Start XS++ and connect your cell. Now only flash your real MAIN file (i.e. W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn, you can find it in here, 344 flash blocks).
[{Don't check Customize File System!}] This will only take about 2 minutes!
That’s it you are now done with flashing, now you can simply start the phone by just adding back the SIM, mem card and then battery.
Now adding themes into your cell….
So far you have entered the phone memory and added just swf files (menus) but you dint add theme files. For adding theme files and making theme files with the custom menus downlaod the following notepad tutorial HERE.
That’s it for now… For any doubts or clarifications post them in comments.

Try cleaning the pins of your cable and cell and then connect. Also make sure that the USB drivers r installed properly.

hay people you ar all wrong. dont use far manager its making a brutal enter tol your phone you need to use se_manager_4 or newer. its making easy uploads to any directory thst you whant and dont forget to make a your main firmvare copy thats alvays helps you from broking your phone. choice what kind of drivers you said instaled? what did get better? what camare driver you putet? doeas make a better quality? thanks for info in front ;) keep up people ;)
redzy, i installed the sony ericsson update center (or sumthing like that), you can download it for free, just look for it (google it, i don’t have the link…), and when you have the program, it will tell you what to do… finish that and you will have the latest firmware and drivers already installed,if that is your problem…
i have “Super cam driver 8.54 with update1″ installed, works OK.
i also have “ToShaRa_Mega_Acoustic_v1.6_High_Quality_And_Loudness” and works pretty damn loud. i also have some patches and mods and stuff…you can get them all over the web…all works OK.
and jeah, i still stand for XS++3.1 ;)

hi, Guys i am unable to “flash” my W810I it hangs for morethan 30 seconds…
i only have to stop it manually, it tells stopping may damage your cell still i stopped that..
and i am getting this bug “ can be used with Service Cable ONLY”….

hey how u doin bro, i have just tried everything but all the time i end stuckwid epidriver not found what should i do i manually installed all of it then seus, when i try flashing wid that 5 block file it stuck at finish flashing i have to stop it all the time but when i did it for first time it completed after dat always stucked at finishing flashing, tell me epidriver complete step which have no erroe in doing it
Awesome tutorial … followed it and i got what i wanted but i got a little problem…..i think its a little bug but i guess some one can help me …u know the option for putting the caller pic i use that and the pic dosent show up instead a black screen comes up and i cant see the number not the pic of who called .. but if i remove the pic from calller pic then the name and number shows up i suppose something went wrong and i think the caller pic option is not being supported or something … some one pleaase helpppppppp…….
dont use far manager. it use brutal entrance to the phone use xse tool 2.0 for sony erixsons if you think you got your phone broke just go with the xse tool by steps and you will find your software and everything else.. google it im sure you will find it… bring your phone back to life then make copy of csdm its like this dont ask why i dont know.. and then flash the themes in to directory. it will take about 15 min… bring csdm back restart phone thats it.. done ;) good luck
richi i hope you are not using windows vista cause that was my problem… and dont use xs++ use setool 2.23 its easy and its not making pone brutal entrance. with setool you can make also csdm copy as well. check out tell me whats happen. google it and you will find it…( setool 2.23)
Hi there, great tutorial. I was able to upload a flash menu the first time.
Now when i go back to upload a few more, do I need to run through this entire tutorial again? I mean flashing the “main” and loading the “loader”? Because the 2nd time around, I keep getting stuck at a screen after I double click on “FS” it says “command progress 100%” and nothing else is happening. I’ve left it running for about 5 to 10 mins and nothing is happening in the FAR manager.

srawan if yuo want to do it safe read some se forums and DON’T flash it with far manager.. cause it’s doing brutte force and you don’t want that ;) look up for program called SEtool and look after how to use it.. find firmware that you have and find a newer version use xs++ to figure that out. got everything you need read se forums and you will have themes inside faster than 20 min. DONT USE FAR MANAGER!!!

hey i’m thinking of flashing my w810i using setool v1.1 coz it seems understandable reading lot tutorial. but how can i add flash menus like walkman dance etc shown above tutorial. how can i add such flash menus using setool. please help me!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgyRSq4HqV0 check this one and try to figure out… fisr thing if you have a real one w810i that means that its international model.. its easy’er. and you cant change firmware its the one that you have now you have to have after flashing.. its only some app. you can flash in so you can get louder speaker or better aquracy and speed on picturing.. YOU CANT CHANGE FIRMWARE. if you flash in a wrong one then you will have it like this… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD85hHJ3k5U after that you can get it back just with org firmware and dont forget to make copy of CID cause its hard to find one that fit to your phone.. use xs++ to figure out name of org firm. and flash with SET2L lite. look in google with: flashing w810 with SET2L. ;)

Urgent Help. I followed all the steps as told above. The only problem i had is that i was unable to successfully flash my 5 flashblocks( Step F:). Then i proceeded and went to the FS: using FAR. Navigated to the tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash and first removed the “DisableFlash” file from the directory. I added all the .swf files and disconnected and flashed the 344 blocks too. When i start the phone, it works fine. When i hit the Menu button, a message pops (Errors occur in the menu.ml file. This may render the menu unusable). I ignore this message and when i Install the ‘Active Desktop’ theme. It works. But i am unable to navigate using this theme. I am stuck just to the flash menu and nothing . I cannot see my pics, calls, etc. Please Help

found this on the web ” well that sim works with your network, so if you have a different phone that you are able to take out a sim and put it in a different phone then yes, its like you updated your phone, so it will work ( that’s if you’re able to take out the sim)
