Western Digital to ship 750 GB Caviar Desktop HDs

Want to store more stuff without deleting? There seems to be an easy way now. With Western Digital its now possible to store upto 750GB of data. Western Digital is ready to ship their new 750GB capacity hard drive- the 750 GB SATA WD Caviar SE16.

The drive has sports a 3 Gb/s transfer rate, 16 MB cache, Native Command. The new features like SecurePark helps for better shock characteristics, StableTrac for better vibration performance, and IntelliSeek which helps to reduce power consumption.

The HD sports the all new Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR) technology. This technology helps to provide a platform for future expansion of hard drive capacities.

Currently the 750 GB SATA WD Caviar SE16 is priced at $249
