Acer comes up with a laptop range of below 20K

Indian Market is famous for its conservative approach. Indians want cheaper and cheaper products. This is the main reason why Acer-India has come up with a new breakthrough in the laptop market. To say in the words of S. Rajendran, GM – Sales and Marketing, Acer India, “We have been following the market closely and have evaluated the requirements of the Indian consumer before tailoring such a product.”

Acer India has launched its Aspire 3680 series for Indian market, which uses a Celeron M 430 (1.73 GHz) or above, for increased power and excellent performance. Featuring a 14.1″ wide screen LCD, 256 MB of system memory and a Combo drive, the notebook runs on a Linux operating system, making it cheaper and better.

The Aspire 3680 will be available at Rs. 19,999/- (excluding carry case & taxes). It is also to be noted that Acer was the first company to breakthrough the sub 60K,50K, 40K and 30K price barrier in India and continues its tradition. Hope to see a 10K or even 5K laptop within a year or so.
