Seagate and Samsung will now start shipping their long awaited 1Tera bytes hard disks. It’s been quite a while since their competitor Hitachi released their 1TB desktop drive. Now there will be a little tight competition as even Seagate and Samsung will be shipping their 1TB hard drives.
Six months have passed since Seagate had confirmed it would launch a 1TB Barracuda hard disk drive this year. So, finally after six months we get to see a 1TB hard disk from Seagate.
The following 1TB models were released by three companies:-
Hitachi 1TB DeskStar 7K1000
Samsung 1TB SpinPoint F1
Seagate 1TB Barracuda 7200.10
Hitachi and Seagate have 32MB buffer while the Samsung has 16MB. All the hard disks will be priced at $400.
