This adapter can be used to increase the range of devices like cell phones and headsets by hundreds of meters. Connecting via USB the AIRcable Host XR is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux systems. The included standard antenna gives a 1km range, which is very high than the normal bluetooth hub. With a 9dBi omni-directional antenna the range is up to 2Km, using a 18dBi directional antenna gives a range of 10Km.
