                                   Intel cuts desktop prices! Turns few heads

News in the street is that Intel planning some price cuts on few desktop and mobile processors. Thou the cuts are pretty hefty its only for just a few. But you’d expect for a pretty intensive pricing planing for the chip maker’s 1333MHz FSB chips.

The high end 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600 can now be purchase for just $266 thats around 50% down from $530. While the other price cuts are little tiny then we desired well i guess you can’t have everything.

The Core 2 Duo E4400’s gets a measly 15% reduction to $113, the Pentium E2140’s from $74 to $7, the Celeron D 347 now costs just $34 thats around 13% while the Celeron M 520 and 530 are priced 20% less at $86 and $107, respectively . The $134 1.86GHz Celeron M 540 at and the 2GHz Core 2 Duo E4500 minus a dollar to $133. Intel thou has made the mark on there 1333MHz FSB Core 2 Duo E6×50 chips making them priced comparably to the 1066MHz FSB Core 2 Duo E6×00 chips.

We have to admit this price cuts will definitely ask questions to AMD. Lets wait and watch if AMD joins the party.
