Nokia announces its Music Store service going live from today. Thou not as perfect or cool like the iTunes store, but looks good enough for HSDPA speeds on handsets. The Nokia Music Store allows wireless music purchases which directly downloads to the handsets . The store offers only 192Kbps audio in Windows Media Audio (WMA) format(DRM protected! Shit…….!).
You can easily transfer your purchased songs to your Nokia device using Windows Media Player or with the new Nokia Music PC client available later this year. Each individual track would go for in €1 ( $1.36) and €10 ($13.66) for the entire albums, you can even opt for PC streaming subscription for €10 a month. Expect opening across key European markets this fall with other European and Asian countries following suit in coming months.

Lucian Grainge, Chairman/CEO of Universal Music Group International said: “It’s obvious that innovation and imagination in the digital music download business are the keys to future growth. It’s good for music - and good for our artists - that consumers can easily find and buy the songs they want, when they want. That’s why we welcome the Nokia Music Store.”
