Most Expensive Chair in the World!

$ 2.4 million for a aluminum and fibreglass lounger thats shocking! This futuristic looking designs which resembles few aspects for an airplane, also called the Lockheed Lounge was designed by Marc Newson in 1986….he liked to call it “fluid aluminum form”. It expects to fetch in around $1.6 million or $2.4 million at auction next month at Christie’s in London. Thou it looks cool but i doubt my ass will have some stiff competition for comfort.

Utter Madness, whats the point? Form over function, i think anyone looking to buy this should but a good quality Ergonomic Office Chair and sit in comfort. They can give me the left over cash if they want.

It’s an investment piece… Who sits on a Picasso painting anyway? The person who bought it (i think it was a hollywood person that got free publicity for it, and had his house published, more free publicity, and added more real estate value) will see a return in a few years. It will also boost up anything that Newson designed. I’m sure john’s furniture is crap, and none of it will be a classic collector’s piece. If you hate it, start designing above Newson’s level then….by the way, that that piece rules!!!!!
