If you can’t figure out, Splashtop is a Linux variant thats provides with basic functionalities like wireless connectivity, Firefox, Skype, and simple games. Whats great about it……… it runs entirely in RAM . You don’t have to wait for like 40 secs to boot to Vista or Xp to update your Orkut or and basic internet activities like chatting.

SplashTop (developed by DeviceVM) is integrated directly into the high-end P5E3 motherboard from Asus featuring top of the line features like Intel X38 chipset, DDR3 1800MHz dual-channel memory support, Dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 lanes, ASUS EPU (Energy Processing Unit) allows users to monitor and change CPU power supply, and 802.11n WiFi support. All these latest features in the motherboard segment will set you back by some bucks. Prices haven’t been disclosed but it won’t be cheap by any means.
