How to Restore “Show Hidden Files and Folders” Option in Vista?

October 13th, 2007

You might have seen this familiar problem. Your computer has no option for “Show Hidden Files and Folders” in the Folder Options dialog. Good chance this happened due to some spyware infection, so please run your spyware scanner. The scanner will clean the infection but won’t restore the setting, however.t

If you didn’t get me, let me make it simple to understand. Open Folder and Search Options from the Organize menu, and then choose the View tab, and you’ll see that the entire “Hidden Files and Folders” radio button is completely gone! This only occurs due to some infection. If its there then no problem.

Alternatives to adding music to your iPod

October 12th, 2007

Apple nowadays tries to bundles its music management software iTunes to every possible gadget they are making…. be it iPhone, iPod, the Mac. Just like Microsoft does with the WMP and Internet explorer.

But we never get a mention of Apple dragged to courts due to anti-trust, monopolistic litigations. Not everybody loves everything about Apple, same goes for their iTunes that comes bundled with iPod. I don’t prefer iTunes mostly because I’m a Winamp addict since god knows when! Favoritism is a different issue altogether, we can discuss about that later. Alternatives to adding music to your iPod
