Google’s announces Mobile Android OS

Long since Gphone rumors have been flowing through our ears we have been closing following it. People actually expected Google to launch something as cool and revolutionary as the iPhone. But Google had other plans. Now that we know Google announced a Linux based mobile operating system called Android, which will be available freely under mobile open source license to developers. They even have partnered with 34 telecoms and mobile phone, solutions manufacturers like Sprint, HTC, LG, T-Mobile, Motorola, Nvidia, and eBay. Expect cool new apps developed for Android by the latter half of 2008.

How to Fix for Special Folders changing to Default Folder Icon in Windows Vista?

Have you ever encountered with a problem of Music folder icon turning from the default shiny icon into the generic yellow folder icon. Sometimes this occurs due to some softwares or malwares screwing up with a hidden file named desktop.ini thus corrupting it. But here is a workaround that fixes this issue up.

How to Fix for Special Folders changing to Default Folder Icon in Windows Vista?

The visibility of the icons on the folders are controlled by desktop.ini file which is hidden inside each folder. All you need to do is modify the settings and save the file. What I’ll do here is just reset the desktop.ini to the default values that I’ve listed here.

How to Disable Security Center Popup Notifications in Windows Vista?

Have you ever tried disabling automatic updates, UAC in Vista. Surely many of us have done that and been annoyed to death with the popup messages from the Security Center that tell you to “Check your computer security” or “Check your User Account Control settings”. But a small setting change will turn off those messages.

But before proceeding : Please make sure you keep the firewall and the automatic updates enabled just to make sure everything keeps in place.

To disable the popup messages shown above, right-click on the little red shield icon on the taskbar and choose Open Security Center from the menu. You could also open Security Center from the start menu.

How to Defrag Multiple Hard Drives At Once In Windows Xp

As you would know its a pain in the ass when it comes to defraging all hard drives at the same time in Windows XP, as the Disk Defragment utility in Windows Xp doesn’t have any option to defrag all the drives at once.

But a simple batch file trick can get over this problem and defragment all of the drives, one after the other.

The disk defrag utility in Windows XP can be called from the command line with the following syntax:
