Talk about making technology eco-friendly! Hum… some Greenpeace nerds came up with an idea of making USB pen-drives out of wood! Yep…. cold hard wood. Sounds strange but by the look of this, they seem more like ghostly jungle trees rather then an actual USB drive.

You have to give them credit for carving out this from real wood. I wonder if this really reduces global warming or increases it.
The Wooden USB Memory Stick is available to buy for $170 from Vivre.

If sticking wood up your computer is your thing (and why not), you can get wood USB sticks from http://www.flashsticks.co.uk They don’t mention the obvious benifit of them floating or the obvious risk of fire :)

I wrote to the http://www.flashsticks.co.uk site to ask if there was a fire risk with these wooden babies - they sent me a free stick for asking a funny question! It is actually pretty cool :)
