How to Fix the Firefox memory Leak problem
Firefox maybe the best web browser out in the internet but it isn’t bulletproof when it comes to the memory leakage usage. More the windows, tabs, extension it sucks more memory. Fortunately there is a small fix that will minimize the memory leakage to some extend. Don’t bet it will fix it forever, still better to have something rather then a zero.

Heres what you do:
1. Open Firefox and go to the Address Bar. Type in about:config and then press Enter.
2. Right Click in the page and select New -> Boolean.
3. In the box that pops up enter config.trim_on_minimize. Press Enter.

4. Now select True and then press Enter.
5. Restart Firefox.
Wow! Thanks a lot. Hope its realy work. Will be tested :)
Awesome post!hopefully this helps some. thanks again
Wow, this is AWESOME. Why is there not a website that is dedicated to talking just about these kinds of things, and is also popular enough for me to actually find. I haven’t found it yet. ;)
This speeds up FF3.5 as well. It doesn’t impact starting time, but it does help with the overall unresponsiveness (so far). There used to be a 2-3 second delay with key presses and mouseclicks. That is gone now. FF is using half the memory it used before I did this; 150MB from generally 300, often climbing well over 400 before I restart it (daily at least). It still kinda sucks, but there is no other browser that gives me the hackability of FF, so here I am. I run 15 addons, plus Greasemonkey.
