Art Lebedev ships first Maximus OLED keyboards! Atlast
You might already have got hold of the world’s coolest keyboard. Nothing the less, atlast Art Lebedev finally shipping the Optimus Maximus. I was starting to think if it would end up in the archives of some vaporware historian.
Optimus Maximus keys have built in OLED displays that changes depending to the function its assigned; say you are using Photoshop you are fed up of the normal shortcuts, with this keyboard you can assign the normal letter keys with editing icons, color pickers, etc.With Maximus keyboard the possibilities are limited only to your imagination.
Besides the keyboard, Art Lebedev ships the Configurator software allows for programming every button to reproduce a sequence of symbols and editing the image separately for each layout.
The USB 2.0 keyboard currently is on sell for $462 and is shipping first to customers who began pre-ordering the keyboard last year. For users who ordered the stripped-down version with passive keys will have to wait another month due to quality issues, the company states.
