Hello fellows, was a really bad day for me. My hosting suspended my account for best part of the day. Just few minutes back it came up. The reason being as usual ” High resources consumption”.

But I’m really dumb found after so many stumbles and social media traffic for last 2 months how could that possible happen(for god shack I’m on a cluster solution). According to the usage log it seemed that it was probably because of a spam attack, the wp-comments.php was totally getting off the charts hits. Apart from that i think a new plugin i used which was in beta could have done the damage.

It took some time to get the site up. The first support guy in the morning, no matter what i tried, couldn’t pursue him to let me fix the problem. I tried putting up support tickets, it was no use thou most of the staffers where in weekend holidays maybe! (that’s what you call 24×7 support) after some 8hrs with no email and the support line down finally i got hooked up with a good person. He instantly gave me access to FTP, without delaying i deleted that plugin and fix the things. Wow the site was up in just few minutes. But he told he will monitor the cpu usage which i think is a necessary thing. Thanks mate really appreciate your help, the world needs people like you.

All’s well that ends well, isn’t it! But for the f#$king spammers they better learn maths because i have put a math spam protection plugin. Sorry fellows if some good guys get caught in between but its a necessary thing. Please bear with it. Would love some comments and experiences from your side.

PS: I have bought a VPS solution in-case the site bucket’s again.
