Hidden Feature inside Windows Vista to resize images
Most of us have came across Windows Vista, there are many hidden features that are really great and interesting.
Nowadays a standard digital camera supports resolutions upto 7 to 8 megapixels. Recently I purchased one digital cam, as an avid shutterbug I love taking photos here and there. Most of the photos are related to nature, life, gadgets etc and my online buddies love watching them :). As you would know broadband in India sucks, thats why have to resize my images before uploading.
Thou i use TechSmith’s SnagIt to resize my pictures for uploading, a hidden feature or hack whatever you say inside Windows Vista that lets you resize your photos. But I still think if Microsoft had removed those junk features like, Readyboost, Spyware and hooked up a resizer app that could have been great.
This is how you can resize photos and images in Windows Vista quickly.
- First open the image or photo file that you want to resize and click on the email button on top

- On the Attach Files popup, choose the desired resolution and size

- Enter your name, email and add any dummy data to the email server configuration and press next (You will only have to do it once). If you do not see these options simply skip to the next step.
- Righ click on the image in the attachment and click Open

- Once the image is open click the File menu button click Copy. Paste it to your desktop. The resized image should come on your desktop.
Its still to lame and slow, i would recommend getting some free photo-resize application.
In case anyone wants a great free Windows-based batch image resizer, check out Fotosizer. I’ve used plenty and this one is great if you want to resize all the pictures that you took that day so you can upload them to the net. Cheers.

Had anyone checked out reshade.com
I was wondering how the features were, I think its a free site.
