Lacie new triple interface external drive

April 8th, 2008

Lacie well know for external drives introduces a new triple interface hard disk. Design by product designer Neil Poulton is touted to be LaCie’s first consumer grade eSATA product.  Don’t be shy if your mobo lacks eSATA, they even combined USB 2.0 and Firewire 400 ports.

Available in 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB models, the new hard disk is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Mac OS X 10.3 and higher. The black exterior features a mirror polish finish and the underside glows blue with an ambient LED effect. The drives might cost you a measly $149.99, which is still a tad costlier then the USB-only counterparts ($109.99), also included is the LaCie ‘1-Click’ Backup Software (PC and Mac) which lets you backup files with just a single click( thou I’m sure if it really does that).

The 500GB version is available now, via LaCie’s site(sadly its out of stock, OMFG) . The device ships with a two year warranty.
