You can now control the Blu ray with your iPhone with a cool new software called BD Touch. Denny Breitenfield, CEO of NetBlender, the people who created this technology has stated that it is also an SDK for iPhone developers.

Folks at Gizmodo got some inside scoop from the creators themselves.

♦ The app will be able to show more information about the current movie on your iphone.

♦ It will display extra information on the movie.

♦ You will be able to convert the iphone into a game controller for the already existing blu-ray game discs.

♦ A separate database of information based on the above will be stored in your iphone.

♦ If the movie exists on the ipod touch and iphone platform, the blu ray will send a digital copy to your iphone.

The information is exchanged on both the platforms i.e BD to iphone and vice versa. You can also control your iphone with the player. This can be useful when you want a digital copy of the movie or information of the movie to be store in your iphone database.

As for the developers, they will be able to use the BD Touch features to develop applications for iphones which work on movie titles.The technology is all set to release today.

But with every new invention, there is a disadvantage. This is no exception. People could still copy the songs from a movie soundtrack. Also, what about pop-ups?
