The bits about Adium imply it has video chat and iChat does not when in fact, it's just the opposite. Adium is so 20th century. I mean what do I have an iSight and Logitech 9000 on my two Macs for? To text my friends? If I use Yahoo Messenger or Skype or iChat, I can video chat with them. Adium has a poor web plugin which only proves they are horrible programmers. They've been working on their own video chat literally for YEARS. It's not gonna happen. They can't program their way out of a paper bag. Adium doesn't belong on ANYONE's top 15 list, IMO unless you enjoy wasting your iSight or other WebCam and want to prove your ability to type over 120 words per minute. Geeze, even the iPhone can do Skype audio calls now. Yahoo Messenger sucks? Yahoo has ignored Mac users for years until recently but even THEY now support audio and video chats! I can even do audio and video chats from Linux now with Skype while poor Adium does nothing and Kopete can either show a camera (with no audio) or text; it can't do both at the same time, it seems...at least not here. But even THAT is an improvement over Adium which can't do video at all.

Jing, to take screenshots, desktop movies, upload them for free to screencast.com or just mail them, add notes on them, it's pretty damn useful when you want to convey a concept to somebody (e.g. during website debugging) www.jingproject.com

Please review the difference between "there" and "their" as well as "they're."
Having got that off my chest, kudos on this list! I already have Carbon Copy Cloner, Transmission and VLC. All highly recommended.
Skype is hype. Maintenance and Skitch look interesting.
Thanks.
