Apple wants you to think that you’ll need either an iPod or iPhone to run iTunes. But that’s completely untrue because there are many freeware applications lets you sync music to different mp3 players using your beloved iTunes. Question is why people would use iTunes for there mp3 players if the same syncing can be done with different applications you can easily do that.
Only thing that comes to mind is iTunes music store, thats the only reason ill stick to iTunes. Thou i still love the old buying CD’s for music, only when I get to bored to troll over to my nearest music store i use the iTunes store. Also with iTunes i don’t need to pay for the whole album, i can choose my favorite singles and pay according to that. Getting back to the topic, I wanna show you a great application that lets you connect other mp3 players, mobile phones and handhelds to iTunes.
iTunes Agent is a simple applications that connects mp3 players, mobile phones and handhelds to iTunes. To configure devices for syncing you need to specify the music directory of you Mp3 player, it varies from player to player. Just take a look at the folder structure before hooking it to the iTunes agent and then insert the information you get.

The devices can then be synchronized using the system tray. A right-click on the iTunes Agent icon opens a menu that offers synchronization.
