I thought of keeping the title as ‘holy****’ but my conscience was thinking more like leet speak. Anyways, this time developers are somewhat focusing on addictive (read as ‘hardcore’est) gamers. At least, thats what Ubisoft’s creative workhorse Clint Hocking is seeming to talk about. Players looking eager to but the sequel to Far Cry are in for a ’surprise’ as the game could last as long as 25 hours. Wait for it, for those who can’t make heads or tails of the compass can play jolly well for 100 hours.

Apparently the Ubisoft team is itself not that sure. Producer, Louis-Pierre Pharand had estimated the single player time to be 50 hours. Thats more than Saturday and Sunday put together!

Farcry 2’s new environment is based on the 50 kilometer wild of Africa. Upto 16 players are supported on multiplayer online. Farcry 2 will debut on PC, Xbox 360 and the PS3. Pretty close to an open world shooter, eh?
