What would you say to a real world Energy sword of Halo?

June 30th, 2008

Thinking along the lines of real world creations from Halo like the Master Chief Pony, this one certainly takes the top spot. This form of melee from one of the world’s leading FPS is impressive. Owning this will certainly make you fart on your old cardboard replicas from this game.

What would you say to a real world Energy sword of Halo?

According to Trueswords, the blades are real and have been heat treated and have titanium color finish. The appreciable thing is that the handle has everything on it that the game has.  Priced at 49.99 US$, it is pretty tempting for an avid Halo player like me.

Sony to offer video download service for the PSN

June 27th, 2008

Sony’s President Kaz Hirai has unveiled plans of offering video services to the play station network including non-game contents. The service is likely to be introduced first in the U.S and eventually to UK and Japan. He also said that this may boost the network popularity and obviously the revenue.

Sony to offer video download service for the PSN

Although people are still comfortable with video-by-mail service, Sony will have a tough time streaming videos. I know it sounds all cool with the video service soon but I’d rather reckon youtube as it is well placed and with the most convenient user experience. As of now, Sony have to start gathering what exactly the consumer wants and how a average daily gamers goes about videos. Anyway, Rome wasn’t built in a day. So good luck Sony, you will need it!

PC-XB01 case mod: Make your 360 quieter, cooler!

June 25th, 2008

PC XB01 case mod: Make your 360 quieter, cooler!

The PC-XB01 case might just solve your Xbox 360 overheating problems and keep  it cool and keep it quite. The dual 70mm fans on the Xbox 360 are replaced with one 120mm ultra quiet fan, with optional water cooling and thick, sound-proofing slabs of foam to quiten that annoying disc drive. But all love for this mod gets lost when we come to know it is four times the size of an Xbox 360.

A Piece of advice! if you are done for with those RROD’S and other Xbox 360 crap, seriously buy a PS3.

How nice of Nintendo, conviniently ignores the rest of the world and introduces premium DS Lites only to Japan. Starting from July 1st to August 31st, these premium limited DS Lites will be available to them. And when I say limited, I mean very very limited.

How limited? Well, here are the figures. 1000 units of premium black, premium silver, premium rose each. Nintendo wishes to be strict on the number 1000, so hurry up and grab it ( if you are in Japan) because you don’t want to regret it later. Any new features? Nope. The only difference is these things are shinier.

Call of Duty 5: World at war made official

June 24th, 2008

After the nasty and disapproving comments on the trailer of Call of Duty: World at war, Activison has officially announced the details about it. Apparently, this time they have stressed a lot about the multiplayer. The multiplayer co-op will add to its already growing popularity, says Activision.

Call of Duty 5: World at war made official

Releasing on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 versions, the four-player co-op will allow us to play offline or online. Usually I thought experience points were awarded when you play online, but in this there is experience points for the offline four player gameplay as well. Based on the experience points (including that of your friends’), your game may toughen. Lets just hope it atleast puts up a clean face.
