Wonder why I almost forgot what NFS meant. Then it struck me. ProStreet ruined my memories of all those ‘underground’ and ‘most wanted’ days. ProStreet sucked in more ways than once. For example, the NFS franchise was running out of stories and really needed new ideas if they were to maintain the momentum. Well, lets just hope that the upcoming ‘Undercover’ won’t be a disappointment.

Need for Speed: Undercover announced

Electronic Arts’s CEO, John Riccitiello had earlier confessed at a conference of putting pressure and other tortures on EA’s Vancouver studio. In a statment he said, “I thought it was an okay game, in terms of gameplay. It’s not good. But who wanted ProStreet? It was a sort of made up, put numbers on the side of your car and pretend to drive your Ferrari where? Or your Porsche where?”.

Now he has announced that the new NFS : Undercover will be more like movies and particularly the ‘Transporter’ type. As for this latest game, 2 teams will do a  24 month job over this and this will be EA’s first time out ever after ‘One NFS per year’ plan. All I can say is, keep your fingers crossed.
