Nintendo DSi Portable Unveiled In Japan
Almost looking like the Nintendo DS, the DSi Portable is the new kid on the block. At the Nintendo Fall presentation, the DSi portable was unveiled after many rumors of a new DS were doing the rounds. The company is still regarding it as a third platform meaning it may be just an addition to the DS line up.

The Nintendo DSi Portable is thin compared to the DS Lite as it does not flaunt a GBA card slot. The screen is big compared the DS Lite and there is a 3 MP camera on the rear. Only one of the displays is touch screen
The memory storage type is the SD and there is no information on the internal memory yet. Ok now to the explanation of the ‘i’ in DSi. It may have been obvious to some of you and if it wasn’t, the ‘i’ denotes the internet browsing capable option. And Nintendo already has plans for it. A Nintendo DSi Shop will be available which will sell content using the Wi-Fi. A free browser application and a Nintendo ‘DS Ware’ game will also be available.
Free Wi-Fi connectivity will be available at all Japanese McDonalds. The points will be renamed to Nintendo points from Wii points. You will get 1000 points for free with the DSi portable till March 2010, the content may be priced between 200 to 800 points.
The Nintendo DSi is priced at $178 and comes in white and black colour. It will be released in Japan on November 1 while the rest of the world will have to envy them for a year or so.
