How to Jailbreak Your iPod Touch 2G/1G on OS 3.0 Using RedSn0w (Mac)
iPod Touch fans had been eagerly waiting for jailbreak to come for firmware 3.0. Unfortunately iPod Touch users need to pay $9.95 to upgrade iPod Touch OS 3.0 which is kinda hefty considering you already paid so much for your iPod Touch. But anyways we will give you links to free custom firmware later this week, in the mean time guys who have already brought the firmware can use this guide to jailbreak there iPod Touch. Below are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPod (1G or 2G) on OS 3.0 firmware using RedSn0w for Mac.
1. Create a folder on your desktop called Pwnage
2. Download iPod Touch OS 3.0 from below links and save it in Pwnage folder
For iPod Touch 2G:- iPod2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw
For iPod Touch 1G :- iPod1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw
3. Extract the redsn0w application from the RedSn0w zip file to the Pwnage folder.

4. Connect your iPod Touch to computer and start iTunes 8.2 (make sure your iTunes is updated to 8.2 or else it wont work) . Now select your iPod Touch from the left pane and now Hold down Option and click the Restore button. Browse to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the firmware ipsw and click Open button to continue.

5. After iTunes completes updating your iPod Touch to OS 3.0 firmware, launch Redsn0w from the Pwnage folder.

6. Click on browse button and locate iPod Touch Firmware 3.0 ipsw file.

7. Make sure Cydia is selected and click the Next button.

8. Now make sure your iPod is switched off and plugged into your computer.

9. Next up Redsnow will guide you to through the DFU process. Do exactly as the guide says and your iPod should be in DFU mode.

10. Your iPod will now reboot after the DFU process.

11. RedSn0w will then begin uploading the new RAM Disk.

12 . Once its completed you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. Click the Finish button.

After your iPod reboots it will be jailbroken with Cydia on the SpringBoard. Enjoy!!
