Well theres some really bad news Optimus fans, the Optimus isn’t being shown at CeBIT after all. Thats really a dissapointing news.
This huge stuff costs a big bang for buck at $1,490. Ooh thats a way too much! Pre-orders start in April with delivery in November/December 2007.

Oh and not to forget there was a good news as well, the Optimus 103 gets a name change. While we were hoping for the Optimus Prime, it looks like they’ve settled on Optimus Maximus (the god of gods).

This time AMD concentrates more on accelerated processing projects. Recently, in CeBIT 2007, AMD revealed more details about its “accelerated computing” platform, codenamed Torrenza. The main goal behind Torrenza is to create a platform where application-specific processors can interact cost effectively and offer better performance than a general purpose CPU, while remaining compatible with off the shelf platforms.
A Torrenza system will have at least two sockets, and both will accept accelerators and accelerated CPUs. One accelerated-processor project on AMD plate, slated for 2008 under the codename Fusion, and combines a dedicated GPU or GPU accelerator onto the same package or even the same silicon die as the main CPU. AMD has already set the ground-work for Fusion processing with its Stream Computing initiative utilizing ATI-based graphics adaptors for heavy number crunching.

You previously had a sneak peak at the Albatron’s Nano Abox V2.0, few weeks back. In Germany we get a closer look at the Nano Abox V2.0. Got all the ports like USB, serial, firewire behind the back(Specs on the picture below). It also has its own monitor just like a laptop. But the design isn’t doing any justice to this product. It looks more like a home made custom mini PC then a prototype to display at Cebit.

Digital Cube’s i-Station G43 looks small compared to other UMPC device’s. But don’t be fooled with its demised size. This UMPC sports a stunning 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 touch-screen display, thou small compared to the big 7-inchers.
