This huge stuff costs a big bang for buck at $1,490. Ooh thats a way too much! Pre-orders start in April with delivery in November/December 2007.

Oh and not to forget there was a good news as well, the Optimus 103 gets a name change. While we were hoping for the Optimus Prime, it looks like they’ve settled on Optimus Maximus (the god of gods).

An addition to that all the keys will in fact be OLED with an expected life span of only 5 years, depending upon use of course. Each 32 x 32 resolution OLED will remain stationary. Instead, the key-press mechanics are executed by a plastic cap which slides around the display like a sleeve to keep the wear and tear on the OLEDs to a minimum.

If a key gets broken, replacements will be offered at around $10 for one. And if you think that $1,490 is a bit too pricey for a 5-year keyboard, take heart: “two or three” additional keyboards are in the works with fewer programmable keys which will be a bit less priced at around $1,000 .

The main goal behind Torrenza is to create a platform where application-specific processors can interact cost effectively and offer better performance than a general purpose CPU, while remaining compatible with off the shelf platforms.

A Torrenza system will have at least two sockets, and both will accept accelerators and accelerated CPUs. One accelerated-processor project on AMD plate, slated for 2008 under the codename Fusion, and combines a dedicated GPU or GPU accelerator onto the same package or even the same silicon die as the main CPU. AMD has already set the ground-work for Fusion processing with its Stream Computing initiative utilizing ATI-based graphics adaptors for heavy number crunching.

Sapphire’s PURE Innovation HDMI takes advantage of all the AMD 690G’s video output capabilities including DVI-D, HDMI, TV and VGA outputs. Sapphire places HDMI and VGA outputs on the motherboard while DVI-D and TV-outputs are available on a separate card and header. The HDMI output is HDMI 1.2 compliant with support for HDCP and output resolutions up to 1080p.

The integrated HDMI output passes audio as well. A DVIO expansion card that resembles a PCIe card provides a single dual-link DVI-D output. The dual-link DVI-D output supports up to resolutions of 2560×1600 from the onboard ATI Radeon X1250 graphics core. The SB600 provides one PCIe x1 and 2 PCI expansion slots, 10 USB 2.0, 1 PATA133 and 4 SATA 3.0Gbps ports. High-definition audio with eight-channel analog outputs and S/PDIF audio output is also integrated.

It can do all the multimedia and connectivity like 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth. You get to choose from 30GB or 60GB disks, it also comes with a speaker dock, USB-host ports, and a cool touch pad interface on the left side. Looks like Digital Cube atlast makes a device for the ultra mobile geeks. Its can run XP and Linux, but no Vista. This problem can be attributed to the AMD Geode LX800/900 running at 500MHz(thou the Cebit prototype is toned down to 398MHz). No news when it gets shipped. More in the video after the break.
