Microsoft have been long babbling about a mouse that can sense touches at high speed and responding to it at the same speed. Apple has a gone a step further and have actually released a multi-touch mouse which they call it as the magical mouse.

According to Apple, you will get one with a regular iMac or you could add it to your desktop for just $69.

At first sight it looks like a detergent cake but the Apple logo makes it look otherwise. The familiar glossy and smooth looking stuff is present. To put it simply, the mouse itself is a button. This is how it works: Scroll in any direction with a finger, swipe if you want to navigate pages, click and double click actions are the same as a standard mouse.

And trust me the Magic mouse chip inside is one intelligent thing. It can even tell when you just rest your palm on the mouse. So there is no chance of confusion in your finger gestures.

The Apple Magic Mouse is backed by a Laser technology which means its really really sensitive. Power management is really good. It automatically detects if its inactive for a long time. You can also change the mouse settings (finger gestures) in the mouse preference panel.

Now all I want to know is how the hell do you play games with this? Just asking.

I don’t know what to say. I got mixed feelings for this one. Upto this day I have been using Windows Media Player for its less usage of resources but iTunes 9 is making me feel a bit uncomfortable. Its as though like the time has come for a change and it is the change.

Yes, iTunes 9 released at the Apple Rock and Roll event at Yerba Buena Center for Arts in San Francisco. And this time Apple has really listened to the users and thats what has made me download this today. I have to admit the areas of improvement like:

Apple has admitted to the fact that their baby iPhone 3GS suffers from Overheating sometimes. Not much has been done about it except little precautions published all over the net and very simple too. The iPhone Dev Team have rolled out their new baby and it goes by the name (no surprises) Ultrasn0w 0.9. Seems like they have learnt a lot from GeoHot which recently released Purplesn0w. Ultransn0w 0.9 is basically built upon Purplesn0w to put it bluntly.

The Ultrasn0w 0.9 works both on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. Almost all the bugs have been eliminated that was frequently faced by the users. The iPhone Dev Team has also realised that patching the CommCenter is more preferable than running a demon.

Mac Only. Jailbreaking the iPhone 3G gives you so much super powers. On a serious note, well it allows you to install applications and add custom boot logos. Make sure you have iTunes 8.2 installed and Mac OS X 10.5.7.

1. Download PwnageTool 3.0
Download the iPhone firmware (3.0, 3G)
2. Create a New Folder on your desktop and rename it as Pwnage. The above downloaded files should be kept in this folder.

3. Double click PwnageTool 3.0 and drag the PwnageTool.app to the Pwnage folder you created.

4. Now launch the PwnageTool application. Click OK when the warning pops up.

5. Select the ‘Expert Mode’ at top of the menu bar.

6. Select iPhone 3G. Click the arrow button on the bottom right.

7. In ‘Browse for IPSW’ dialog box, it will automatically find the IPSW file or you can click the ‘Browse for IPSW’, select the browse for IPSW button and choose your IPSW button.

Select the ipsw file and click the arrow button to continue.

8. In the next dialog box, click ‘General’ button and click the arrow button.

9. Pay attention, Select Activate the Phone only if your phone has NOT BEEN activated by a legitimate carrier. Also check Disable Partition wipe out. Increase the root partition to atleast 695 MB. Click the arrow button to go to the next step.

10. The Bootneuter Settings will all be greyed. Click the blue arrow to continue.

11. Cydia allows you to install custom packages.

Select the ‘Download Packages’ tab. Click Refresh. Select the packages you want to download and add it to the ‘Select Packages’ tab.

Check the packages you added and click the blue arrow to continue.

12. In the Custom Packages Settings, leave the settings as it is and click the blue arrow button to continue.

13. In the Custom Logos Settings menu, you can add your own boot logos. Remember, it should 320×480 size and the format should be a PNG file with RGB or grayscale format. After that, select the blue arrow to continue.

14. In the next menu, click the ‘Build’ button and click the blue arrow. Let the Pwnage begin.

15. Save the custom ipsw file to the Pwnage folder you created.

16. The IPSW is being built now. This process might take upto 10 minutes.

17. Enter your administrator password when asked. Then click OK.

18. When asked whether your iPhone has been Pwned before, if you are unsure click No. It only thoroughly restores the phone.

19. When asked to turn off your iPhone, check whether it is CONNECTED to the USB port and then turn it off.

20. Hold the Home Button And Simultaneoulsy press the power button for 10 seconds. Then release the Power button and hold the Home button for further 10 seconds to enter in to the DFU.

If you fail, it will display a message. Click yes and unplug the iPhone from the usb port. Turn the phone off and again turn it back on. Plug the iPhone back to the usb port and repeat from the start of this step.

21. Now, iPhone will display a message how it entered successfully entered the DFU port. An iTunes Dialog box will also pop up. Click OK.

22. In iTunes 8.2, hold down the ‘Alt’ key and click Restore.

23. This process will take upto 10 minutes.

24. Once the restore process is over, you will now able to see an Cydia on your iPhone Springboard.

Well, Ultrasn0w is here and as the name suggests its the ultimate software to unlock your 3G iPhone. You need to have a jailbroken iPhone either done with redsn0w or Pwnage Tool and the baseband 04.26.08 i.e firmware 3.0. You can follow our guide on how to jailbreak iPhone 3G .

1. Launch the Cydia installer from your Springboard.

2. Select the ‘Manage’ at the bottom of the screen.

3. Select ‘Sources’ on your screen.

4. Select ‘Edit’ present at top right of the iPhone screen.

5. On the top left of the screen, select ‘Add’.

6. In The ‘Enter Cydia URL’ menu, enter http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/ as the URL.

7. After the ‘Complete’ message, select ‘Return to Cydia’.

10. Select ‘Ultrasn0w’ from the screen.

11. At top right of the screen, Select ‘Install’.

12. Again at the top right of the screen, Select ‘Confirm’.

13. After the installation is complete, Select ‘Return To Cydia’.

14. Select ‘Home’ And Power Off your iPhone And then switch it On again. Now you should be able to insert any SIM card of your choice.

Apple is once again charging iPod Touch users a fee of $9.99 yet again for upgrading to firmware 3.0 that’s pretty lame. But with some smart searching we found out some  have handy firmware links that you can download and update your iPod Touch without having to pay Apple a dime.

After downloading the firmware you can update your iPod Touch using the simple instructions below and start using it. But if you wanna jailbreak it then you could follow this guides for Mac and Windows respectively.

1. Download the latest iTunes 8.2 from here.
2. Connect your iPod Touch 1G or 2G to PC/Mac with iTunes.
3. Click on Restore while holding Shift (for PC) and Option (for Mac).
4. Navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the Firmware 3.0 for your device and select it.

But anyways we will give you links to free custom firmware later this week, in the mean time guys who have already brought the firmware can use this guide to jailbreak there iPod Touch. Below are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPod (1G or 2G) on OS 3.0 firmware using RedSn0w for Mac.

Download the following files before you proceed.
- RedSn0w
- BL 3.9
- BL 4.6
- 3.0.0 (2G): iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

Make a new folder named Pwnage or any other name you like then place all these files there.  Now extract  the RedSn0w zip file to the Pwnage folder.

1. First step is to connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes, make sure you have iTunes 8.2 or else update will fail.

2. Now select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left and hold down Option and click the Restore button.

3. Now browse to your Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the firmware ipsw. Click the Open button to start the restore process.

4. Once updating of the iPhone is finished,  you may proceed to launch redsnw0w.exe from the Pwnage folder on your desktop.

5. Once RedSn0w opens click the Browse button.

6. Now select the same firmware ipsw  in the Pwnage folder on our desktop then click Open

7. Make sure Cydia and Unlock is selected and click the Next button.

8. Now in the next page select the location of both the bootloader files. Click the Next button to continue.

9. Now make sure your iPhone is switched off and plugged into your computer.

10. Next up Redsnow will guide you to through the DFU process. Do exactly as the guide says and your iPhone should be in DFU mode.

11. Your iPhone will now reboot after the DFU process.

12. RedSn0w will then begin uploading the new RAM Disk.

13 . Once its completed you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. Click the Finish button.

After your iPhone reboots it will start the  BootNeuter then your iPhone will be unlocked and jailbroken with Cydia on the SpringBoard. Enjoy!!
