As you would know, Steve jobs is always busy pushing his iPhone firmware updates so that each of you unlocking buff iPhones get miserly bricked. But why would we care about that, cause we can always get back to where we were, using the simple restore function for iPhone in iTunes that Stevey(mistakenly i guess) left us to rejoice.
But as you would know, Apple doesn’t have some kinda list where we can get the old firmware downloads. Well to make sure all our iPhone zombies don’t find it tough to get what he/she wants, we decided why not we have a list of our own!

Unfortunately we can’t unlock the 2.0 firmware of 3G iPhone 2.0 as of now(hopefully in a month or two), still we can do a jailbreak and install our favorite applications. But before continuing please note that a great number of users are having trouble with Winpwn. Make sure you have Windows Xp as many are reporting Vista as usual have some problems. Winpwn has been updated to 2.0.0.3, hopefully that should fix a lot of the issues.* Please make sure you folllow this steps before going through the procedure.

Probably the most awaited by many, unlocking an iPhone seems hotter than buying it these days. The iPhone-Dev Team has released the PwnageTool 2.0 to jailbreak and activate the Apple iPhone 3G. Not even a week has passed and you already can install third party apps other than the ones found at the Apple store.

What you see here is the PwnageTool 2.0 welcome screen to jailbreak the iPhone or the iPod Touch with firmware 2.0. You won’t be able to unlock the iPhone 3G but jailbreak to install some third party applications.

Apple wants you to think that you’ll need either an iPod or iPhone to run iTunes. But that’s completely untrue because there are many freeware applications lets you sync music to different mp3 players using your beloved iTunes. Question is why people would use iTunes for there mp3 players if the same syncing can be done with different applications you can easily do that.

I got really fascinated with Mac applications recently after rigging my Hackintosh setup @ Leopard on my PC. Great thing about Macs is the easiness and the great user interface that streamlines your work. People misunderstands Macs as grossly overpriced fanboy stuffs, but after using Macs you’ll understand they are cheaper in the long run. Shoot me for being a fanboy, I don’t care. I still don’t own a Mac, but I’m saving hard enough so that when holiday season comes I can gift myself with a Macbook Pro.

Recently i did a tutorial on how to unlock, jailbreak and activate your iPhone using the ziphone. But i have got lots of comments related to the wifi, youtube not working. I found out that with a better tool (iLiberty) you can fix these few problems. If you can’t wait for the latest ziphone to get launched with the Wifi, youtube fixes here’s how to fix it.
But fellows i’m really sorry we have to go through the restore and unlock process again. Here’s how it goes.

So you jailbroken your iPhone or iPod touch and wanna install those cool applications out there, but you either don’t have a Wifi modem or lack a strong Wifi connection.
iGopher is a great application for windows that lets you download and build a local package from the PC, then connect to computer via the USB connection and transfer and install them on your jailbroken iPhone/iPod.

The program still is in the initial stages and lots of bugs still lurking, like not able to find the right applications etc etc, and not compatible with different unlocker tools. For more on how to get it working go to igopher official site.
