To me restarting my PC is one of the most annoying thing that I come across daily. Besides Vista takes up around one to two minutes to boot up sometimes. Even Windows XP slowly crawls at around a minute to load. Step 1

1. Open regedit and goto ‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\’
2. Select the ‘WaitToKillAppTimeout’ value.
