MacBook Mini Design, Almost the Real Thing!

While there have been some rumors about a possible Apple Netbook, neither Apple nor any third party has given some concrete proof of its existence. But that didn’t stopped designer Isamu Sanada from making his own Netbook. This cool MacBook Mini is just 5.4-inches thick, while boasting a keyboard, trackpad, 10-inch LED display, and 128GB SSD, but like this Macbook Air, we don’t this one will carry an optical drive. I hope Apple does something like this if the Netbook rumors are indeed true.

AMD Phenom II Overclocked to 6.5GHz With Liquid Helium, Shatters 3DMark record

Did you thought Intel was the only cool guy when it came to cooking insane scores under overclocked condition. Right after CES, a team of hardcore overclocks with few gallons of liquid nitrogen and liquid helium managed to chill the temperature to nearly -232 degrees Celsius so that they could overclock one of AMD’s latest Phenom II X4 chips and overclocked they did! These guys managed to push it to a mind numbing 6.5GHz, which managed to deliver an impossible 45,474 3DMark05 score. But the coolest thing has to be, You guys can watch every single second of this miracle in steroids.

iPhone App Store hits 500 Million Downloads

January 16th, 2009

Apple just hit 500 million downloads, with the iPhone App store.

iPhone App Store hits 500 Million Downloads

Soon as iPhone App store was launched on July of 2008, it reached 100 million downloads by September 2008, and since then it reached another 400milllion, suppressing the magical 500 million mark.  Out of those 500million downloads how many of them are paid downloads is yet to be known. But i think Apple made some serious cash from the iPhone App Store and will continue to make more as the store expands. Currently there  are about 15000 apps available at the App store. Definitely, I won’t be surprised if it surpasses the 1 Billion mark with the 1st year.
