Long wait for Blu-ray optical drive for Apple users is over. Fastmac today announced the first & only 2X Blu-Ray optical drive upgrade for Apple’s PowerBook, iBook & MacBook Pro computers.

Don’t worry it works on almost all Macs that can run Mac OS X 10.2.8. The slot loading drive writes to BD-RE at 2x, DVD±RW at 8x and CD-R/W at 8x, and provides up to 50GB of storage on a single disc. The drive is scheduled to ship within 30 days and is available for a steep $999.99.

                                       Apple confirmes iPhone for T-Mobile Germany

Finally the rumors are true, Iphone will be exclusive on T-mobile Germany starting November 9th same as in the UK. The 8 GB model will set you back by €399 which includes V.A.T and 2-year T-Mobile tariff. It will be exclusively sold through the Telekom Shops of Deutsche Telekom and the T-Mobile web shop. Just like the US cousin you’ll get access to Wifi iTunes store, Visual Voicemail, and kinda crappy EDGE data services. Lets see how long iPhone will be exclusive for T-Mobile. I’m sure it won’t last more then a month until some hackers finds a way to unlock it.

Apple Sells 1 Millionth iPhone!

It just took just Seventy four days…I repeat..Seventy four for Apple to sell 1million iPhones..”take that Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, Blackberry or whoever is in the mobile business”. Many analysts had recently predicted the iPhone would reach the mil mark by Sept.30.. Everyone’s proven wrong by quite a margin. Also for the history buffs it took nearly two years to sell that many iPods as Steve Jobs mention in the press release. We won’t be surprise if iPhone reach the 10 million mark by 2008 especially after the price-cuts that came few days back at the Apple Special event. Anyways congrats Steve Jobs on his industry turning achievement.

Early iPhone owners get $100 credit from Apple!

Yesterday the folks at the PR department of Apple might had their most difficult day of their life after the $200 price drop that made the early iPhone Owners shout over Apple. After some hot press stuffs last night Steve Jobs officially makes the statement.

You won’t get your $200 back, but Steve announced that they will provide $100 buck to spend on anything at the Apple Store for all iPhone customer if you bought the iPhone before the price drop.

After updating their US website, Apple . Well Apple switches most of their international sites from the oldy glossy look to a new more metallic look. Right after Tuesday’s Summer Event, Apple updates most of the international sites to match the US version. Also it looks like that Apple wants to compliment the sites to the upcoming version of OS X Leopard.
